NAQCC Advanced Worked Members Award Comments: This award is designed to get members on the air and get to know their fellow members a little better. Time Frame For Qualifying QSO's: January 1, 2005 0000Z through the present Basic Award Premise: Work as many members as possible getting to know them a little better along the way. Categories: 200 points. Equipment: YOU: Power: QRP Antenna: Any. HAM YOU WORK: Power: Any Antenna: Any QSOs: Any kind of 2X CW QSO counts. Other: You must have been a member at the time of the QSO. It is not necessary to exchange numbers during a QSO. A QSO with a current member before they became a member counts for 1 point. A QSO with a member consisting of only RST-QTH-NAME-RIG-WX counts for 1 point. A QSO with a member in a contest counts for 2 points since contesting is a good way to improve skills. A QSO where you go beyond the usual RST-QTH-NAME-RIG-WX and actually find out something about the ham you are communicating with counts for 4 points. For example, you find out that the ham is an ex-major league baseball player (NK7U, if he were a member), served on the USS Arizona shortly before Pearl Harbor, worked in broadcasting (K3WWP), plays chess, loves fishing, etc. Basically anything not rig or weather related. Only one QSO with a member will be counted. However you can replace a QSO with a higher point value QSO at any time to increase your points total. For example if you have the following QSO's with K3WWP: 2005-Jan-30 K3WWP 0002 1 pre-member 2005-Jul-14 K3WWP 0002 2 NAQCC Sprint 2005-Dec-5 K3WWP 0002 4 Worked in AM/FM broadcastingYou may replace the 1 point QSO with the 2 point QSO, and then replace the 2 point QSO with the 4 point QSO. You may do this even though you already submitted a lower point value QSO for an award or endorsement. Any QSO with an NAQCC club call (KB3MQT, N3AQC, or N3A) counts for 5 points. Only one club call QSO may be counted, even if you work 2 or 3 different calls. To help in determining if someone was a member at the time you worked them, here are approximate dates when the members joined. We did not keep accurate dates before 1/20/05 when we had already reached 681 members.
