EMBOSSING
Ink your stamp with an embossing pad or pigment pad. (For more information on these pads, click here) Pour embossing powder over the stamped image. Shake off excess powder and return it to the jar. You now must heat the image to melt the powder. Your hair dryer will not work. You must use a heat gun. Do not waive the heat gun, hold it still, close to the image and when the powder starts to melt, move the heat along. Do not keep heating once the powder has melt or you will over emboss. Let cool for a few seconds You may now leave the image as it is, color the inside areas, watercolor over top or chalk over top. Experiment with different techniques.
If you don't have a heat gun, you can use your toaster by activating the toaster with nothing in it and holding the card over the heat coming out of the toaster.
You can emboss on glass and wood.
To emboss on a candle, stamp and emboss on tissue paper the same color as your candle. Cut off excess tissue paper. Hold tissue against candle and lightly heat the candle. As the wax melts, the tissue paper will absorb the wax and disappear into it.
