Stamping 101

You can produce beautiful cards, gift wrappings and hand crafted gifts using rubber stamps!  All you have to do is take a rubber stamp and pounce it a couple of times on an ink pad and then press it to whatever you are stamping on.  Don't rock your stamp, press down firmly and then lift straight up!

You can stamp on paper, fabric, walls, wood, glass or just about anything as long as you are using the right materials.

You should store your stamps flat and keep them out of direct sunlight and excessive heat.  Your stamps can be cleaned easily with water, stamp cleaner, clean-up pad or baby wipes.

There are lots of different types of rubber stamps that will give you different results when you use them.  Below are a list and description of some of the different types.

LINE ART
These are stamps that leave a "picture" when stamped.  They are usually stamped in black and then you color in the image with your favorite product, whether it be chalks, markers, colored pencils or watercolor pencils.  You can also stamp in a color on white card stock and mount white piece on same colored card stock for a monochromatic effect.

TWO-STEP STAMPIN' ®
These are stamps that are designed for you to use two stamps, a background stamp and a detail stamp.  You can use them separately or together for a variety of looks.  If you use them together, and stamp both the background and detail stamps in the same color, you get a soft shaded effect.  For a dramatic effect, stamp background in lighter color and detail in darker color.

DEFINITELY DECORATIVE ®
These are stamps that are designed for you to stamp each stamp in a different color for a fast colorful image.  These are bold, solid stamps that will give you the best results when you wish to stamp on wood, fabric or  walls.  Of course, they also work great on cards and paper too!

WHEELS
You only need one handle and the wheels and ink cartridges are interchangeable.  This design gives you "self-inking" ability so you can roll and roll and roll.  This is the easiest way to stamp a background and you can make your own designer gift bags and matching tissue!
